Horse Riding on Exmoor
Riding is one of the best ways to see Exmoor and all abilities can be catered for…
For an unique experience there is the Exmoor Pony Centre only a couple of miles away where you can learn about these remarkable creatures and possibly go for a ride on one. Although pony sized they are capable of carrying up to 12 stone, so aren’t just for children.
Various stables offer facilities for beginners to the more experienced and details can be found in the free Exmoor Visitor magazine on site. Most stables offer a range of ride lengths from an hour to day rides with a picnic or pub lunch. Some establishments offer instruction as well.
Horse riding is a wonderful way to see more of Exmoor and very often a chance to get closer to the wildlife.
