Our Campsite
We are in an unique position with spectacular views – a haven for those who enjoy the peace and quiet of the real countryside. We are ideally situated for moorland, woodland and riverside walks and for spotting an abundance of wildlife and birdlife.
We hire out maps with six suggested walks of varying lengths starting and finishing at the campsite. We donate half of the money to the National Park for their environmental projects.
From your caravan or tent you may see the wild Exmoor ponies, red and roe deer, buzzards and red kites as well as hares and hedgehogs.

GENERAL RULES & INFORMATION:
Arrival: New arrivals are welcomed from 12 midday. When you arrive please book in at the farmhouse which is down the drive beyond the campsite and toilet block. As we are only a small, family run site we may not be available to greet you but we do try to leave information on hook up plots on the reception door. Please do not park caravans before booking in as you may be asked to move. Tents and caravans that do not require a hook up are asked not to pitch on the two rows of hookups. The plots are marked with numbered concrete slabs which are the centre of the plot. Caravans can be sited either way.
BBQS: We do allow barbeques but only if kept well off the ground (blocks available) to avoid scorching the grass. For the same reason please try not to put hot pans and kettles on the ground. Small fire pits on legs are allowed in moderation and must not disturb neighbouring guests. Open fires on the ground are strictly prohibited. Although it may seem obvious we would ask that before disposing of barbeques please make sure that they are completely cold. We can supply locally made high quality charcoal.
Booking & Payment: Please complete the Booking Form on our Booking page or phone us on 01643 851 259 to pay your deposit by debit / credit card. We accept most major cards for payment. All bookings are acknowledged in writing, either by post or email.
Children: Children are welcome. We have a play area and nappy changing facilities.
Departure: As a general rule plots should be vacated by 11am so that the plot is free for the next unit to arrive on or after midday. At less busy times it may be possible to stay on your plot for longer, but please check with us.
Deposit: A non-returnable deposit of £25.00 per pitch is required on booking and the balance is payable on day of arrival.
Dogs: Dogs are welcome provided they are kept under strict control, do not foul the park and are not left unattended. There are acres of moorland outside our front gate for exercising and toileting dogs. Please do not take them into fields adjacent to the campsite. We do ask that if your dog does foul the campsite you clear up after it and dispose of the bags. Please do not leave bags on the site or on the moor but put it in a bin.
Electric Vehicle Charging: Electric vehicle charging from within your tent or caravan is strictly prohibited. Please ask at Reception for nearby EV charging stations.
Farm Animals: Our cows and sheep are all out of doors after lambing and can be seen in the fields adjoining the campsite (it is not advisable to enter the fields with the animals, especially cows with calves and our bull runs with the cows).
Food: We would ask you to make sure that your food is stored securely to avoid attracting unwanted visitors.
Number of Nights: The number of nights booked will be charged for unless cancelled in writing or by email prior to your arrival. Alterations to numbers in your party, etc. can be advised on arrival.
Strict Code: A nice family ambience during the day is followed by a strict code of quiet at night.
WiFi: Wifi is available for web-browsing and emails free of charge. Please enquire at Reception.
