How to Find Us from the M5

Halse Farm is now sign posted from the A396 at Bridgetown.

Turn off the M5 at Junction 27 and take the Tiverton turning. At first roundabout turn right onto the A396. Keep on this road until you reach the small roundabout at the Exeter Inn and turn left. At the Black Cat junction go straight across, do not follow the road round to the left over the bridge, and keep on this road until you reach the small village of Bridgetown. Half a mile on, turn left for Winsford. In the village turn left and bear left in front of the Royal Oak Inn, (not over the ford). Keep on up the hill for 1 mile. Our entrance is on the left immediately after the cattle grid.

Towed Caravans should avoid the approach from Dulverton due to very narrow road leaving town.

You can also approach us from the north on a good road, B3223, after crossing the cattle grid at Comers Gate turn left at the first small cross roads, Spire Cross, (sign posted) and we are about 1/2 mile down this road on the right.

We suggest that you use a map alongside your satnav!

Quickest Route from Taunton (26 miles)

Only suitable for Tents and 4×4 towed caravans due to long 1 in 6 Elworthy Hill.

Leave the M5 at exit 25 follow Minehead signs through Taunton to A358 [Taunton – Minehead rd] After approx: 3 miles, turn left under bridge onto B3224 signed Wheddon Cross and Exmoor. Keep straight on to Raleighs Cross Inn. After 1 mile turn right for Wheddon Cross. In Wheddon Cross village turn left onto A396. After approx: 6 miles turn right to Winsford, then follow the above instructions from Winsford.

We suggest that you use a map alongside your satnav!

Coming from Taunton / Wheddon Cross

If you are using a sat nav device please ensure that it does not take you through Furzehill Lane/Upcott Lane off the A396 as this is very narrow and steep.

Coming from the Taunton direction you may be directed down Quarme Lane before you reach Wheddon Cross which is quicker but is fairly steep. If you do go down Quarme Lane turn left (not right) at the bottom and then follow our signs.

We suggest that you use a map alongside your satnav!
